289 invitations issued in the latest PNP draws conducted on January 25. British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) is a pathway that attracts high demand international workers that meet the Canadian labour market needs. The candidates must be willing to reside in Canada as permanent residents. The invited candidates were from the two streams namely Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry BC (EEBC). Under both these streams, candidates from Skilled Worker, International Graduate and Entry Level and Semi-Skilled sub-categories were issued invitations.
Most of the invitations issued were through a general draw which was around 264. In order to receive the invitations, candidates needed a score ranging from 77 to 114. The minimum score requirement was different for each program.
The remaining invitations were issued to candidates whose occupation fall under NOC 0621 – retail and wholesale trade managers or NOC 0631 – restaurant and food service managers. A total of 25 invitations were issued to candidates with at least a score of 114 across the board.
British Columbia province has been conducting two rounds of invitations for its PNP program. This practice is followed since February 2021. This is basically done because of the high number of candidates in each labour market sectors registered under the BC Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).
