On October 7, Ontario immigration department recently conducted a draw inviting skilled workers with proficiency in French language. Around 162 Notifications of Interest (NOIs) were issued in this latest draw to the Express Entry-linked French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream candidates.
To be invited, candidates needed the following:
- Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores ranging from 459 to 467
- Canadian Language Benchmark 7 at least required for French language and 6 for English
- Profiles in the Express Entry pool had to be submitted between October 7, 2020 and October 7, 2021
Requirements for Ontario Express Entry: French Speaking Skilled Worker Stream
To be eligible candidates need to meet certain requirements that are listed below:
- The candidate’s application must be in pending status under the Federal Express Entry system
- Candidate must possess Canadian equivalent Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree or PhD
- Full-time work experience or equivalent not less than one year required under NOC occupation level 0, A or B
- At least Canadian Language Benchmark of 7 points required in TEF exam for French language
- At least Canadian Language Benchmark of 6 points required in IELTS exam for English language
- Candidate must be willing to settle in the Ontario province
