On October 7, 2021, Nova Scotia province conducted two Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draws. Although opened after quite a long time but both of them were for Labour Market Priorities Stream. The first draw conducted was meant for the candidates those who have a job offer from an employer in the Nova Scotia province or they need to be full-time skilled workers in the province. And on the other hand, the second one was for the candidates in the occupation of carpenter (NOC 7271).
Candidates need to meet certain eligibility criteria in order to be invited in these draws.
For the job offer draw, the requirements are mentioned below:
- The candidates need to have a job offer from the employer in the Nova Scotia province for full-time skilled work. This job offer needs to be at least for a period of one year. To be eligible, the candidates also need to have a permanent resident visa.
- One year of work experience is also required to the related occupation.
- The candidate needs to have a Canadian high school credential or equivalent.
- Candidates also need to have a proficiency in the English language and must have a score of 5 at CLB (Canadian Language Benchmark).
- Application must not be submitted later than 11:59 p.m., November 6, 2021.
Eligibility requirements for the draw held for Carpenters occupation are listed below:
- The candidate must be in the occupation of carpenter (NOC 7271).
- Two or more years of skilled trades experience in the carpenter occupation is needed and as a proof, letters of reference from employer must be submitted. On the other hand, the self-employed candidates need to show third parties documents depicting payment details too.
- Proficiency in English language must be proved with a CLB score 5 or more in any of the approved test by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
- Application must be submitted latest by 11:59 p.m., November 6, 2021.
In both the draws, candidates will be selected from the Federal Express Entry system that meets the requirements of the labour market.
