- Work Experience
A minimum one year of paid full-time work experience or equivalent part-time experience required in the previous 10 years. It should be in skill type 0 or skill level A or B listed under the National Occupational Classification (NOC).
- Education
A diploma or degree from a Canadian high school or post-secondary institution or equivalent is required.
- Language
Canadian Language Benchmark 7 required in English or French language.
Eligibility criteria for Federal Skilled Trades
The requirements are listed below:
- Work Experience
A minimum work experience of two years in full-time or equivalent part-time in any skilled trade in the previous five years required. The skilled trade must be listed under the National Occupational Classification.
- Job Offer
The candidate need to possess any of these two; either a job offer in full-time occupation that lasts for one year or a certificate for the skilled trade from a Canadian authority.
- Language Ability
Canadian Language Benchmark in French or English language; level 5 for listening, level 5 for speaking, level 4 for writing and level 4 for reading.
