Manitoba Provincial Nominee
Foreign Skilled Workers who have an established strong connection to Manitoba may be nominated under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program. The program considers support from family members and friends residing in Manitoba. Previous education or work experience in the province or through an Invitation to Apply received directly from the MPNP as part of a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.

Program Status:
- The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program selects foreign-trained and experienced workers who have the skills needed in the local labour market and nominate them to receive Canadian permanent resident visas to settle and work in Manitoba.
- An applicant must have a connection to Manitoba to be eligible under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program skilled worker streams. There is a skilled worker in the Manitoba stream and the skilled worker overseas stream.
- Every applicant who wants to be considered under the Skilled Worker stream must score at least 60 points under the adaptability factors to be eligible.
- Manitoba is one of Canada’s most robust and most diversified economies, with a low cost of living and numerous opportunities.
Mandatory/Minimum Requirements:
- Manitoba Support: A Manitoba Supporter is an established resident of the province who is a friend or relative of the applicant and is willing and able to endorse the applicant’s settlement plan.
- Manitoba Experience: Manitoba Experience means that the applicant has lived in the province as a temporary foreign worker or as an international student in the past.
- Manitoba Invitation: The MPNP can issue Invitations to Apply to qualified candidates who are identified as part of one of the Strategic Recruitment initiatives in Manitoba and overseas.
- Points Assessment: In addition to demonstrating a strong connection to Manitoba, every candidate who wants to be considered under the Skilled Worker Overseas stream must score at least 60 points to be eligible.
