In the latest Expression of Interest draw of 2021, Saskatchewan province has issued 633 invitations to apply. These invitations have been sent to the candidates in two streams. This Immigrant Nominee Program draw was held on November 18.
208 candidates with occupations in any of the 14 National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes listed under the Occupations In-Demand are invited to apply in this draw. The candidates need to have at least a score of 65 points. 425 invitations to apply were issued to Express Entry candidates. Invited candidates needed both skills and experience in the same NOC codes and at the same time needed a score of 65 points.
The process of applying under the Saskatchewan Expression of Interest:
The candidates need to create and submit a profile in the Expression of Interest pool. The candidates meeting the requirements are selected and issued invitations. Draws are held on a regular basis by the province in which the invitations are issued. The invited candidates need to submit the applications within 60 days. After submission, the applications are evaluated and scored by the SINP officials.
Requirements for the Occupation-In-Demand sub-category:
- Candidates require at least a score of 60 points and a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4.
- Candidates must possess a one year post-secondary diploma, degree or certificate, and training or apprentice as per the Canadian education system.
- Those having degrees and diplomas from outside Canada will be assessed according to an Educational Credential Assessment.
- Candidates must have a minimum one-year work experience in the past 10 years.
- Candidates must have enough funds to support their settlement plan in the province.
- Candidates also need to pay an online fee of $300 and it is non-refundable.
