Alberta PNP draw under Express Entry Stream extended 350 invites to profiles with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 325 and higher on 8 March 2022. But the specifics of this draw were changed today. Compared to the previous interest, the cut-off score in this draw increased by 7 points.
The last appeal, which took place on 1 February, attracted 400 Express Entry profiles. Alberta’s PNP programme has lately been renamed AAIP (Alberta Advantage Immigration Program).
Although Alberta PNP is one of the better options for Express Entry candidates with a low CRS score, not all profiles with a CRS score of 325 or higher were invited to this draw. Some key factors influence whether a candidate will receive an invitation.
This year, Alberta PNP invited 1,700 Express Entry profiles and 6,250 profiles in 2021 under both Express Entry and Opportunity streams. As of 29 March 2022, there are roughly 600 Alberta Opportunity stream applications and 700 expressions-of-interest applications in the Alberta Express Entry pool.

- The candidate must have an Express Entry profile that is active in the federal Express Entry system
- In the Express Entry profile, the candidate chose Alberta as her/his desired province of settlement
- The candidate must have experience in a job that contributes to Alberta’s economic development and diversity
- In Express Entry, the candite must have a minimum CRS score of 300
Alberta PNP Draw Important Additional Factors:
Being eligible for the Alberta Express Entry stream does not guarantee that you will receive an NOI. It is because of the presence of other factors influencing whether or not you will receive an NOI:
- An Alberta employer has offered you a job or work experience
- Alberta graduate of a Canadian post-secondary institution
- Having a parent, kid, brother, or sister who is a permanent resident or a Canadian citizen who lives in Alberta
Factors That Reduce Your Chance of Winning Alberta PNP:
- Your Express Entry profile expires in 5 months or less if you work in an occupation
- You are:
- On the list of high- and low-wage occupations in the province of Alberta that is made available online by the Government of Canada
- On the Alberta Opportunity Stream Ineligible Occupations list
- Having an occupation with a high volume of submissions across every AINP stream

- 6311: Foodservice supervisors
- 6211: Retail sales supervisors
- 1241: Administrative assistants
- 6322: Cooks
- 7511: Transport truck drivers
- 4214: Early childhood educators and assistants
- 1221: Administrative officers
- 0631: Restaurant and food service managers
- 1311: Accounting technicians and bookkeepers
- 0621: Retail and wholesale trade managers
